Bujinkan Norrköping is a non-profit martial arts association that has been active since 1985 and have coaches who regularly travel to Japan to deepen their knowledge. Bujinkan is a traditional Japanese martial art focusing on balance, flow, positioning and body control. In Bujinkan we are working with breaking holds, punches, kicks, falls and throws. All of these focuses on the naturalness of the movements, that they should be as easy and efficient as possible. When you have practiced a while different weapons will also be a part of the training, such as swords and sticks with different lengths. The training is based on a desire to develop. To understand the art you must want to learn and you must want to understand.

There are no forms of competition within the Bujinkan and the grading system is based on each individual’s personal development and skill. Everybody are constantly working to improve themselves and don’t compare themselves much with everyone else. Everyone have different ways to absorb and learn new things but the most important is that you develop and do it at your own pace. So it does not matter if you are male or female, big or small it’s your own feeling and understanding of martial arts that determine your skill.

You are welcome to the children’s group when you have turned 7 years old. In the adult and youth group, you are welcome when you have turned 14 years old. Read more about the training under the menu choice “The Training” or click one of the quick-links above.

Bujinkan Norrköping

Three days of training has come to an end in Helsinki. It was a weekend with wonderful training, feeling and friendship. The people at Bujinkan Norrköping would like to thank Shiraishi-sensei, Todd, Semi, Josh and Michael for their teachings and help during the weekend. Also, a big thanks to the Finnish Taikai-team for their hard work organising it. Again very smoothly and professionally like last time. See you all around! 👋
