Bujinkan Norrköping 40 years anniversary

2025 marks the 40th anniversary of Bujinkan Norrköping.

In 1985, our dojo officially became a member of the Riksidrottsförbundet, marking the beginning of a journey that continues to this day.

To celebrate this milestone, we will be hosting a one-day training camp on Saturday, December 13th — Saint Lucia’s Day.

This is something of an old tradition, as during the early years of our dojo, we held several well-loved “Lucia Camps” with Sveneric Bogsäter, one of the earliest practitioners of the art and a pioneer of Bujinkan in Sweden.

The anniversary seminar will take place at our dojo on Vulkangatan 6 in Norrköping, which will also be the last seminar ever held at this location.

We will be closing 2025 by ending one chapter and beginning a new one in the history of our dojo, as we prepare for an upcoming relocation.

So come and join us as we close this memorable chapter in Bujinkan Norrköping’s story.

Participation Fee

The seminar fee is 400 SEK.

If you’d like a keepsake, you can also order a special anniversary T-shirt for 200 SEK.

Please note that the shirts will only be produced according to the number of pre-orders, so they cannot be purchased later or on-site.

In the evening, we plan to reserve a table together at Harrys Restaurant in Norrköping, where each participant covers their own food and drinks.

If you’d like to join the dinner, please indicate this when registering for the anniversary camp via the sign-up form.

Shawn Gray, Norrköping, October 3-4, 2026

The dates for Shawn Gray’s seminar are now confirmed — it will take place on the weekend of October 3–4, 2026.

Shawn has visited Sweden several times before, including Norrköping, so we’re excited to have him back again.

We’ll share more information later, but for now, save the dates!

About Shawn Gray

Shawn has been a student of martial arts since 1984 and spent over 17 years training in Japan under Sōke Masaaki Hatsumi and his senior Japanese students, often serving as interpreter and Uke. Since founding Bujinkan Gray Dōjō in Ibaraki, Japan in 2000, he has frequently been invited to share his understanding of the Bujinkan arts in training seminars internationally, and has been awarded the Bujinkan Gold Dragon Award, the Bujinkan Shingitai Award, and the Bufū Ikkan Award in recognition for these efforts.

Shawn has appeared in the media many times in Japan and abroad in connection with Bujinkan training, and has translated much of Hatsumi Sōke’s work into English, including newspaper and magazine articles, DVD subtitles, and notably Sensei’s recent book, “The Complete Ninja: The Secret World Revealed”.
